Search And Rescue Find Missing Hikers In Towsley Canyon

A couple was lost in Towsley Canyon Sunday evening, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials.

A woman, who is approximately 19 years old, and her boyfriend were hiking in Towsley Canyon when the female began to feel light headed, according to officials.

The woman called officials at approximately 9:20 p.m. saying they were lost and Search and Rescue was activated as well as the Los Angeles County Fire Department, according to officials.

Once fire engines arrived on scene, the couple was able to flag officials down using their cell phone lights, said officials.

Firefighters hiked approximately one mile to escort the couple back to safety, according to officials.

No injuries were reported.
