The invasion took place on the 23900 block of Avenida Entrana in Valencia at 4 p.m. Friday, said Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Lt. Tom Bryski.
Deputies reported that a male robbery suspect gained access to the home by removing the screen from an open window climbing in, Bryski said.
The victim said someone knocked on his door and rang the doorbell a few times, but that he did not answer, Bryski said.
The victim was confronted by the intruder and then punched several times and pushed to the ground, Bryski said.
The victim did not need to be transported to the hospital for his injuries, Bryski said.
As of Sunday morning, deputies were still searching for the intruder, Bryski said.
