Acupuncture treatments were available for $40 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and a Vendor’s Fair was open until 4 p.m. Attendees were advised to call ahead and schedule an appointment for the acupuncture.
Many different vendors sold healing crystals, hats and scarves, books and candles, among other items. A didgeridoo played in the background as vendors sold hats, healing crystals, jewelry and essential oils.
Deborah Dahl, an independent product consultant, sold essential oils such as peppermint and lavender to “replace items in medicine cabinets.”
Dahl has been to Kenneally’s seasonal events for about one year with a booth for oils sold by a company called doTerra and said the turnout has been great.
“It’s very targeted to people who are interested in health and wellness,” she said.
The seasonal events are held four times a year whenever the seasons change, said Sheril Porter, event planner for Kenneally.
The larger events are held in the summer and fall with two smaller ones during the winter and spring.
Porter said turnout for the event has been great and expects Kathleen Kenneally, the owner of the business, to help 100 people at the event. So far she estimates about 50 people have signed up for acupuncture sessions, which can last 30 minutes.
The seasonal event also had chair massages (10 minutes for $10 or 20 minutes for $20), chakra imaging, reading sessions and needle-free acupuncture for children.
The next event will be in September when the season begins to change to fall.
