Second Round Of Boundaries Meets Set

khts_schools_chalkboardThe Wm. S. Hart High School District is considering boundary adjustments that will have an impact on some students at Rancho Pico, Rio Norte and La Mesa junior high schools, and elementary school students attending Wiley Canyon, Mountainview and Mint Canyon schools.

A second round of public meetings is being scheduled to explain the proposed boundary adjustments and address issues introduced by parents at the first set of informational meetings in June.

Families in the Calgrove/Hidden Valley area are invited to attend a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, in the multipurpose room at Placerita Junior High School, 25015 Newhall Ave., Newhall.

Mountainview parents are invited to a meeting 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, in the multipurpose room at Arroyo Seco Junior High, 27171 Vista Delgado Dr., Valencia.

Families in the affected areas will be notified through their school’s telephone notification system and by flyers distributed at their elementary schools.

The Hart District Governing Board will take action on the boundary adjustments at a meeting in September, and the new boundaries will take effect in the 2010-11 school year.
