UPDATED 4:20 p.m. Wednesday
A security guard working at a location for the CBS Drama “NCIS” was killed Wednesday morning after being hit by a van.
Ralph Blunt, 60, of Pasadena, a studio transportation driver working in the Valencia Industrial Center, was driving a 2006 Ford van into the parking lot at the former Los Angeles Daily News production facility at 24800 Avenue Rockefeller when he had a medical emergency that caused him to black out.
He subsequently lost control of the vehicle and hit Julio Garcia, 52, of Reseda, who was working a security detail at that location. The van continued into the parking lot struck two more parked cars before coming to a stop.
