Two new instructors are offering classes at the SCV Senior Center.
Gilbert Mena, MMQ will resurrect the Qi-gong class on October 15. Classes will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Fridays in the A-6 Conference Room, with a fee of $3. All ages are welcome to participate.
Gilbert Mena is a master of medical Qi-gong and a graduate of the Healing Qi Institute of Los Angeles. Through gentle movements, static poses, and meditation, Qi-gong enhances energy and vitality for better health. The Center also welcomes new archaeology/anthropology instructor Scott McAfee.
Scott brings with him a deep passion for research and engaging teaching methods. His class will meet from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in Room A-3, and is free of charge. Explore history and the world from the comfort of the Senior Center – best of all, there’s no homework!
