Seniors Invited to Free Thanksgiving Feast

A free Thanksgiving feast is being offered to all local seniors on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, at the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center.
Hosted by the Santa Clarita and Castaic Lions clubs and the William S. Hart Union High School District, the event is an opportunity for seniors and volunteers to gather and enjoy entertainment, good company and a gourmet Thanksgiving feast that includes mashed potatoes from Salt Creek Grille, vegetables from the TPC Valencia, salad from Vines at the Hyatt Valencia and stuffing from Larsen’s Steakhouse.
Many local groups — including students, parents, teachers, Scouts, church members and Lions club members — are volunteering to decorate, prepare and serve the food, provide entertainment and clean up. Many individuals and businesses have donated money, food and services.
The event begins at 10 a.m. All seniors are welcome, and are asked to RSVP by calling (661) 259-9444.
