SENSES Turns Newhall Into A Beach

There will be this Thursday, July 21st when the streets are covered in sand as the City of Santa Clarita hosts SENSES on Main Street – a new type of street party.

“Last month more than 1,000 people enjoyed SENSES for a night of 80s fun. The SENSES events allow guests to enjoy live music, experience new art and enjoy a distinctive part of Santa Clarita on a Thursday night,” said Mayor Marsha McLean.

This week Reggae band “Kounterfeit Change” will keep the music going, while guests enjoy a drink, watch a fashion show sponsored by Fresh, build a sand castle, play beach volleyball, check out creations from Tiki and surfboard artists, or ride an inflatable surfboard.

Food trucks will be available. All ages are welcome. The fun starts at 7:00 p.m. and ends at 11:00 p.m.

SENSES is part of the Thursdays on Main Street series and hosted on the third Thursday of each month in Old Town Newhall.

SENSES also features free goodies and special offers from participating businesses throughout the downtown area, including Fresh, Canyon Theatre Guild, OutWest, El Trocadero, Pulchella Winery, Newhall Bicycle and more.

Thursdays on Main Street hosts an assortment of events every week that are open to the public, including: the Farmers’ Market every Thursday night from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Art Walk every first Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and SENSES every third Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
