Seventh Annual GraceFest AV To Return Sep. 12 and 13

The seventh annual GraceFest AV returns Sept. 12-13 to the Palmdale Amphitheater.

GraceFest Antelope Valley 2014 introduces numerous activities, a new stage and more entertainment, according to a news release.

“GraceFest AV is a fundraiser for the Kids Charities of the Antelope Valley,” the release stated. “Funds raised from festival proceeds go to numerous local Christian school scholarship programs.”

“Year to date Kids Charities of the Antelope Valley has raised over 4 million dollars for the kids from various local fundraising events,” the news release continued.

Friday presents the return of the Prayer Rally from 5-8 p.m. featuring local pastors and The Outsiders band, gates open at 4 p.m. and admission is Free.

Saturday’s main event opens at 11 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m, according to a news release.

The seventh annual GraceFest AV returns Sept. 12-13 to the Palmdale Amphitheater.

GraceFest AV will feature four national Christian artists including Francesca Battiselli, Mark Schultz, Audio Adrenaline, and Plumb. The event opens with a special “Tribes and Nations” ceremony.

“Local artists will feature: Reflections Fall, Westside Christian Fellowship Band, Jim Gustin & Truth Jones, John Stratton and The Highlands Worship Band and Tatia. This year a secondary stage on the main floor will feature other speakers and artists, see website for details,” according to officials for the event.

The youth performance stage at “The Zone” has a packed line up of bands and speakers beginning at 11:30 a.m. The youth stage headliner features a hometown celebrity, Adam Jaymes a contestant on the ABC show Rising Star, according to a news release.

GraceFest AV partners this year with largest worldwide ministry, Compassion International. “Compassion has obtained more than 1.3 million children sponsorships that are now reaping the benefits of one man’s vision,” officials said.

“Compassion is committed to children, the church, integrity and Christ. GraceFest will now be a part of making a major impact on the world by inviting attendees to support the children. Please visit Compassion.com for more information,” according to a news release.

GraceFest is a family event featuring national and local Christian artists, merchants, vendors, kid’s games, a youth performance stage, concessionaires, interactive arts, speakers, three performance stages and much more.

“This year’s featured speaker is nationally recognized Evangelist Tom Henderson from Compassion International.  Each year attendance grows along with the event features.  GraceFest is one of a handful of Christian music festivals to take place in California, a rare and exceptional event for our valley,” according to a news release.

Advanced ticket prices for General Admission seating is $20 per person and $25 at the gate.  Youth tickets (ages 6 to 15) are $10, with a student ID (ticket price does not change day of
