Rebranding our summer festival to the LA SummerFest and expanding the festival to include concerts and a musical has made this past summer one of the most successful summers to date.

More than 3,800 people came to the event and we are already planning for next summer’s 2014 LA SummerFest.
Here’s a preview: Free Shakespeare in the Park production of Cymbeline, Free Concerts, Opening Night Gala – July 11th (Save the date!). A Musical ….and a couple of surprises in store for you: A new music and cultural event, possibly a children’s production, another theatrical production.

A LIVE performance of Shakespeare brought directly into our schools for every 9th grader in our valley
Shakespeare was meant to be performed and watched where the language is understood, see the characters come to life, and the tragedy of impetuous behavior has greater meaning.
You can help us reach every ninth grade student in our valley. This 40-minute selection of scenes is crafted specifically for high schools, and includes many of the most famous scenes and characters from the play while maintaining the integrity of Shakespeare’s language. The presentation accommodates an interactive talk-back after each performance. Scenes include: the dance, the balcony scene, Romeo’s departure, the fight between Mercutio and Tybalt, and the tomb scene.
