khts_crimeOn Saturday, March 19, just before 1 a.m., Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Deputies assigned to Santa Clarita Station responded to a vehicle fire at a home in the 20700 block of Satinwood Drive, Santa Clarita. Upon their arrival they contacted the victim who told them he heard noises from the front of his home. When he looked outside he saw his 2009 Scion fully engulfed in flames in his driveway.

As firefighters extinguished his vehicle, he noticed four tires on his 2005 GMC Yukon had been slashed and a religiously derogatory symbol had been painted onto the hood. The victim also saw a racial epithet spray painted on his garage door. The victim, who is African-American, lives at the location with several roommates.
