sheriffbadgeIf your garage is getting too cluttered with old electronics and documents, the SCV Sheriff’s will be hosting a “safe and secure” collection event this Saturday, May 1.

The event will be at College of the Canyons parking lot 8, and residents can bring everything from e-waste to old prescriptions drugs and old documents. Up to five boxes of documents will be accepted. They will be shredded by Confidential Data Destruction.

Hazardous waste such as batteries, chemicals and paints, large appliances and engines will not be accepted but computers and TVs are allowed.

The safe and secure collection is a drive-through event and will go from 9:00 a.m. – 3 p.m. College of the Canyons is located at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road.

For more information about the collection, visit www.SCVSheriff.com or call (661) 286-4090.
