“We’re investigating the possibility that the (St. George bank robbery) suspect is the same person (as the bombshell bandit),” said Special Agent William Facer of Salt Lake City’s FBI office. Officials have yet to release the identity of the person they believe to be responsible for the robberies, officials said.

Sandeep Kaur was taken into custody after a police pursuit last week. Kaur reportedly confessed to the St. George robbery, according to a federal arrest warrant.

At one minute before 5 p.m. Thursday, a woman walked into a U.S. Bank on the 790 block of Bluff Street in St. George, Utah, bank and handed a teller a note, according to a St. George Police official. St. George, which is near the border Utah shares with Arizona and Nevada, falls under the jurisdiction of the Salt Lake City office for FBI investigations.

The teller than gave money to the woman who took off, heading south on Interstate 15

Witnesses inside the bank were able to give police officers information identifying the suspect’s car and the suspect, leading them to their suspect, officials said.

The suspect refused to stop, and the pursuit was eventually joined by Arizona state troopers, and then by Mesquite Police Department officers as the chase wound through Mesquite in northern Nevada.

Once MPD officers were able to conduct a traffic stop, the suspect refused to exit her vehicle and the Las Vegas Police Department SWAT team and crisis management personnel were called to the scene.

The suspect is currently being held in the Clark County Detention Center in Nevada, according to Mesquite officials.

The “Bombshell Bandit” is described as a woman between 20 to 25 years old, about 5-foot-3 and weighs between 120 and 140 pounds, according to the FBI.

In bank surveillance video, she is shown possibly wearing an auburn or brown wig, but officials believe her natural hair color is black.

The crime is under investigation by FBI officials.

An FBI official in the Los Angeles office said agents were still working to determine if the woman who’s suspected of robbing the St. George bank is the bombshell bandit suspect.
