Jose Jimenez and Daniel Jimenez, who live on the 29600 block of Hunstock Street in Val Verde, were placed in custody after deputies found a firearm, ammunition, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Both men are reportedly part of a gang, according to Sheriff’s Station officials.

The patrols were conducted by deputies with the Crime Prevention Unit and the Crime Impact Team, according to a statement released by the Sheriff’s Station through Nixle.

The regular checks generally are conducted in the early morning hours. All of the locations were in the Val Verde area of unincorporated Los Angeles County.

“This operation is part of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station’s ongoing proactive efforts to ensure that convicted criminals living in the Santa Clarita Valley including the unincorporated areas are in compliance with the terms and conditions of their probation after release from jail,” the statement read.
