Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a report of a bank robbery at a Bank of the West branch on McBean Parkway in Valencia.

The incident was reported shortly after 3 p.m. Friday on the 27000 block of McBean Parkway. 

Deputies have identified a suspect, but declined to release her identity, revealing only that the suspect was a woman, according to Lt. Rob Hahnlein.

A Sheriff’s Station official reported money was stolen from the branch, however it’s unclear how much at this point, according to officials.   

Sheriff’s Station officials declined to mention specifics about the methods used by the robbery suspect because the incident is part of an active investigation.

No one was hurt during the incident, which reportedly happened very quickly, officials said.

The incident is now under investigation by deputies with the Major Crimes Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
