Sheriff Seeking Help In Locating Oak Park Missing Man

missingpersonGavinSmithThe Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person.

The missing person is known as Gavin Smith, a 57-year-old male white. He is described as 6 feet, 6 inches in height, weighing 210 pounds, with green eyes, blond-highlighted gray hair and a goatee. He has a five-inch scar on his calf and a four-inch scar on his inner right wrist.

He was last seen wearing purple pants and black and grey shoes. Smith has a black 2000 Mercedes 420E with padded storage racks on the roof and tinted windows, California license plate #6EKT044.

He was last seen at his residence on the 500 block of Callwood Court, in Oak Park between 9 and10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1. He left in the above-described vehicle and has not been seen or heard from since. His family is very concerned and is also asking for the public’s assistance in locating Smith. Anyone with information is asked to contact the  Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau, Missing Person’s Detail, (323) 890-5500.
