Regular sweep results in arrests.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department conducted a sweep this morning of people with warrants who were scheduled to appear in court.
According to Lt. Steve Low with the Santa Clarita station, the sweeps are known as “Due Diligence Sweeps,” and they’re conducted regularly to ensure that people who have been ordered to report to court do just that.
The warrants ranged in severity from misdemeanor to felony. While official results of the sweep were not immediately available, Lt. Low estimates that between 10 and 15 arrests were made.
