On Friday, April 13, 2007, a female student was contacted by a man in the parking lot of Saugus High School. The person showed the student a badge and claimed to be a deputy sheriff.

ImageHe proceeded to tell the student he was working undercover and asked her if she would be willing to assist him. The student gave the man her cell phone number and the man called her several times following the initial incident. When the information was reported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's School Resource Deputy, an immediate investigation was launched and the school district initiated notification announcements.
