Sheriff’s Looking For Answers In Car Crash

Early morning traffic collision results in substantial injuries

A vehicle traveling southbound Sierra Highway approaching San Fernando Road crashed early this morning. The driver, MW/42, of Agua Dulce was traveling at a high rate of speed and apparently lost control of his vehicle.
[view:node_ad=5]The vehicle crossed over the raised center divider and northbound traffic lanes before smashing into a parked semi tractor truck and rolling over. The driver was treated at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department Paramedics and was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station's Traffic Unit is handling the investigation. Anyone who witnessed the collision should call Detective Robert Smoldt at (661) 255-1121. No one else was injured and the man's name has not yet been released.
