Sheriffs Quickly Respond To Assault Call In Newhall; False Alarm

Sheriffs responded to an assault call Friday morning where a child kicked a car door with his mother in it on Arch Street in Newhall.

When deputies arrived on scene they learned that child was just throwing a temper tantrum about going to his doctors appointment, Said Lt. Hershey of the SCV Sheriff’s Dept.

“The call was a miscommunication made by the father while the mom was driving the child to his doctors appointment” said Hershey.

The call “involved multiple address coordination” by deputy assist units according to the SCV Sheriff’s Twitter webpage.

“The child did not hit the Mom and the Mom will not press charges” said Hershey.
