Sheriff’s Renew Contract With Magic Mountain

Four deputies and one sergeant will remain at the park.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has voted to
extend a contract between the County and Six
Flags Magic Mountain
to provide Sheriff’s personnel at the park in Santa Clarita.

According to Supervisor Michael Antonovich, the move was made
to deter crime, enhance public safety, and reduce the risk of terrorist
activities.

Currently, Magic Mountain
contracts for one sergeant and four deputy generalists to provide a full-time
on-site law enforcement presence at the park.

Magic Mountain
will pay the cost for the services of the one sergeant and four generalist
deputies in the amount of $758,208, plus any overtime related costs incurred by
the Department.
