A shopper at Stater Brothers market in Canyon Country had her  wallet taken by force on Saturday evening.

The victim told deputies that a black man grabbed her wallet containing identification and credit cards out of her purse.

The man then jumped into a waiting car and fled the scene.

The incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. and is still under investigation. No further description of the suspect was available, according to sheriff’s officials.
