On Tuesday, March 13, 2007, the traffic pattern at the Sierra Highway Bridge Project over the railroad will change impacting the motoring public.
Currently, there are two lanes of traffic traveling north on the northbound structure and two lanes of traffic traveling south on the southbound structure. The new configuration will be two lanes traveling northbound and two lanes traveling southbound on the combined southbound structure and newly poured center structure.
The capacity will remain the same but will be aligned differently. Therefore, there should be no change in the speed of the vehicles or the time it takes to travel through this portion of Sierra Highway.
