Single Mothers Outreach is planning its annual community Adopt A Family holiday program that provides holiday cheer to single-parent families enrolled in school with parents that actively participate in life skills and growth programs provided by SMO.

Last year, more than 200 families were adopted in the Santa Clarita Valley.

“Our residents have been so generous in past year,” said DaAnne Smith, SMO Executive Director. “We see groups of friends that band together to adopt a family as well as churches, synagogues, organizations and many families.”

Those interested in adopting a deserving single-parent family are asked to call SMO at 661-288-0117 and leave a contact name, phone number and the maximum family size for adoption.

“These hard-working parents are so relieved they have a way to provide a warm and wonderful holiday memory for their kids, and the joy on the faces of the children is what the season is all about,” Smith added.
