The Winter Session class begins Saturday, February 18, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and ends May 19. Graduates of the class report that they have saved an average of $1,380 and paid off $1,421 in debt in 13 weeks.
The program is made up of 13 lessons taught by nationally syndicated radio and talk show host Dave Ramsey. After each lesson, the group meets to help each other plan budgets, discuss successes and temptations, and support each other in their journey to beat debt and build wealth.
This class is for parents who want to learn practical steps that can be implemented immediately on how to get out of debt and stay out and learn practical steps to teach children the value of money, and to be financially responsible, no matter their age.
Complimentary childcare is provided and children go through the companion program for children, Financial Peace Junior, during the session.
Equally valuable to the program is the opportunity to meet other parents with whom you can relate and share your struggles and victories.
This program is open to all Santa Clarita single parents, regardless of affiliation with SMO.
