Six Flags and American Red Cross Team Up for Hurricane Katrina Relief

Six Flags California and the American Red Cross are collecting financial donations for Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.  On Saturday, September 3, from 9am to 6pm, the American Red Cross will be on-site at Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor, collecting cash and check donations to be used for hurricane relief efforts.  All donations collected will be given to the American Red Cross.  Checks should be made out to the American Red Cross and write Hurricane Katrina in the memo line.  Looney Tune characters will be on-site to meet and personally thank patrons for their generosity.  A special drop-off area will be available for those wishing to make a donation only.

“Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the overwhelming number of families affected by Hurricane Katrina,” stated Del Holland, vice president and general manager of Six Flags California.  “On behalf of the Six Flags Family we support the American Red Cross and their heroic efforts to help those who have been devastated by this tragedy to begin to rebuild their lives.”

You can help the victims of the Katrina Hurricane in the Gulf State by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles Disaster Relief Fund, which enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.  For more information about the American Red Cross, please call 1-800-HELP NOW or email info@usa.redcross.org.
