Another roller coaster will be added to the Six Flags Magic Mountain roster of rides in 2010, but this one promises to be a gentler, more family-friendly series of thrills.
Officials at the park announced Tuesday that the family coaster -currently unnamed – will bring the total number of coasters in the park to 17 and will be located in the northwest corner of the park, near this summer’s popular new addition, “Terminator Salvation: The Ride”
Six Flags has also lowered the cost of its Play Pass price for 2010 and expanded the benefits of the Play Pass to included admission without blackout dates and the inclusion of concerts and special events, such as Fright Fest and New Year’s Eve.
Also available are Combo Passes, good for unlimited visits to both Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor and Xtreme Passes, which offer guests a VIP experience with every visit. The Xtreme Passes include discounts on Flash Passes, free parking and discounts on Magic Mountain merchandise and many food vendors. Xtreme Pass holders will also be invited to an exclusive pre-park opening event during the year to experience the new family coaster.
