Sleepy Valley Getting One-Way Street

County says street will improve traffic

[view:node_ad=5]To improve safety and traffic flow for residents of Sleepy Valley near Agua Dulce, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors moved to establish Spring Street as a one-way street from Sierra Highway to Chrisco Avenue, announced Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

In response to community opposition to widening Sierra Highway at its intersection with Spring Street, the Department of Public Works will instead convert Spring Street from a two-way street to a one-way street, with southbound traffic prohibited from Chrisco Avenue toward Sierra Highway.  The project will address the difficulty motorists are having merging into traffic on Sierra Highway from southbound Spring Street.
