Small Brush Fire Burns Three Acres in Castaic

khts_fireenginefront UPDATED 10:12 AM –  A small brush fire burned three acres on a hillside near the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic this morning but was extinguished within an hour.

 

 

 

The fire was reported shortly after 9 a.m. and was located on a hill above the Castaic Animal Shelter, one mile up Charlie Canyon Road near Tapia Canyon Road.

L.A. County Fire Department units responded with air and ground units to fight the fire and knockdown was reported at 9:45 a.m. No structures were damaged and no one was injured.
