Fire temporarily closes freeway
Firefighters quickly knocked down a series of suspicious brush fires Saturday afternoon in Agua Dulce.
Los Angeles County Fire Captain Mike Brown said that the three fires, which were reported at 1:20 and put out an hour later, started next to the northbound 14 freeway, just south of Agua Dulce Canyon. The fires burned just short of a half-acre of light brush.
"With three separate starts, that's indicative of something suspicious," Brown told KHTS. "And the fact that it happened right next to the freeway, we'll be taking a careful look at that."
