Brushfire started by vehicle on freeway

Monday afternoon at approximately 5:20 p.m., a small brushfire broke out near the northbound 14 at the 2000 foot level just south of Agua Dulce Canyon. The blaze was sparked by a sports utility vehicle, which caught fire on the freeway and was quickly knocked down by Los Angeles County Fire.

Freeway closure was not required, however two lanes were blocked while fire crews worked on the fire.
