At about 3:15 Saturday afternoon, a ¼ acre fire broke out in the median of the I-5 freeway just north of Magic Mountain Parkway.

Fire crews were able to make quick work of the blaze; however the response forced the closure of three traffic lanes for approximately 30 minutes.

By 3:45 the fire was out and fire crews were beginning to clear out of the area.
