Car fire spreads to brush in Tick Canyon.

Just before 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Los Angeles County Fire Department officials rushed to Tick Canyon Road in Canyon Country following a report of a vehicle fire, which was spreading to the surrounding brush.

Part of a “first alarm” response, the initial fire crews on scene doused the flames and were able to hold the brush fire to ½ acre. The fire is completely out.

The car was destroyed; however there are no reports of injuries at this time.

Tick Canyon Rd. is located in a rural area between Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway, north of Shadow Pines.
