Smoking Students Sniffed Out At High Schools

khts_crime_genericFollowing complaints from the residents who live in surrounding neighborhoods, the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station Juvenile Team conducted an undercover operation at Golden Valley and Saugus High Schools Tuesday morning.

 

The operation was targeted at flushing out students who were seen loitering in the streets surrounding the school, smoking cigarettes before, during and after school.

According to Lt. Dustin Stillwell of the SCV station, the operation resulted in the detention of seven juveniles at Golden Valley High School; two of them were cited for tobacco use and one for possession of LSD and at Saugus High School, 15 juveniles were detained, three of those were cited for tobacco use.
