He will campaign for the republican candidate.
After a private meeting in Los Angeles with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Assemblyman Cameron Smyth, R-Santa Clarita, announced that he will be endorsing Giuliani in his bid for the 2008 Presidency of the United States.
“Mayor Giuliani has shown tremendous leadership and vision throughout his career,” Smyth said. “I am excited to be a part of the Giuliani team and look forward to working hard to help him win the nomination.”
As one of the earliest supporters of the Giuliani campaign, Assemblyman Smyth will be playing an integral role in garnering support for Giuliani in the Los Angeles area.
“Mayor Giuliani has shown time and again throughout his life that he can achieve real results during the toughest of times. He embodies the character, intelligence, and experience required to serve as the leader of the free world.”
Assemblyman Smyth represents the 38th Assembly District in the California Legislature, which includes the communities of Santa Clarita, Los Angeles, Simi Valley and Glendale.
