Votes to oppose “Job Killer” legislation earn him high marks
Assemblyman Cameron Smyth, R-Santa Clarita, was given a perfect score by the California Chamber of Commerce, according to their most recent news letter, by opposing all ten of the Assembly Bills that they labeled as “Job Killers”.
“I want to keep California’s economy vibrant and growing, and that means fighting to defeat job killing legislation which could run businesses out of the State,” Smyth said. “I hope the Senate and the Governor will stand with me against this legislation that does nothing more than hurt our economy.”
Many of these bills would increase costs for businesses in the state of California as well as place unnecessary burdens on them which could force them to move to other, more business friendly states.

Bills that passed the Assembly will now move to Senate for consideration, while legislation originating in the Senate is now in the Assembly.
