Snow began falling around 1:30 p.m. today and is blanketing yards across the Santa Clarita Valley.
Snow has reportedly been seen in Canyon Country, Valencia, Acton, and up through the Grapevine. Families are embracing the weather to take pictures and children are more excited than ever to build snowmen and engage in snowball battles. It is the first time snow has fallen this heavily in the Santa Clarita Valley since 1989. National Weather Service states that 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulated over night is possible.
