Winter storm arrives, dumps snow near Grapevine.

Snow from a winter storm has slowed traffic in both directions of the I-5 near Gorman. The CHP escorted vehicles through the icy roads throughout the morning.

In addition, Hwy 178 was closed as Poplar Street due to the snow.

Travel is not recommended due to the icy conditions. CHP reports that snow has been seen as far south as Smokey Bear Road.
