The Cemex debate continues, as U.S. Forest Service Spokeswoman Sherry Rollman says that the open-pit mine planned for Soledad Canyon has been planned since the 1950’s….

Both the Cemex and Pacific Industrial plans call for 20 years of mining from nearby sites, and the discovery of the original proposal has only confused matters.
