The community is invited to “Stomp-Out Domestic Violence” with Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley at the second annual High-Heel-a-Thon May 23.

Participants will gather on Main at Market in Old Town Newhall (parking available at the Metrolink station, the REP, Canyon Theatre Guild or Hart Park).

Registration is at 9 a.m., followed by a warm up with some of Santa Clarita’s most motivational fitness experts. The walk begins at 10.

Walkers will march a short way over to Walnut, arriving in front of Egg Plantation, and enjoy a variety of demonstrations, concessions and great vendors, including those featuring art, jewelry, clothing, athletic and spa wear, just to name a few, until noon.

General admission for walkers will be $40 in advance ($50 on walk day).  In addition to heels, attendees sporting flip-flops, tennies and even paws, are welcome.  It will be a short, fun walk.

Sponsorships are still available at the following levels:
Stiletto:  ($500 Title Sponsor).  The business name will be on the race flyers, entry forms, media literature and a banner presented along race route, (sponsors such as Embroyde Me and Allen Fine, DDS.)  Media sponsors to date are KHTS AM-1220, Magazine of Santa Clarita Valley, and The Signal.

Pump:  ($275 Corporate Sponsor).  The business name will be on t-shirt, flyers, entry forms and media literature, (sponsors such as A1 Rentals, Dermacure, Egg Plantation, Foot and Ankle Institute, Fresh, Laney Designs, Maria’s, Paseo Club, Priority One, Results Fitness, SCV Leasing, Summerhill Equestrian Center, and Yoga Yoga.)

Wedge ($175 Tent Vendor, $125 prior to April 15).  The business will be mentioned on flyers and entry forms.
