Just like they did last year, the Journey tribute band DSB broke attendance records as they closed the city of Santa Clarita’s Concerts In the Park series at Central Park with approximately 14,000 music fans covering the fields and dancing into the dark.
The band, which includes local keyboardist Jeff Vincent, was the closing act for 2009’s series and surprised organizers when 10,000 people filled the park. Word got out early this year, helped along by fan pages and social networks that carried the word to the Journey faithful, who began arriving with pop-up tents and blankets to stake out their spots soon after sunup Saturday.
