Never underestimate the power of wildlife. A single squirrel got into some primary power lines in Saugus and took out the power from 2,090 customers in a four-mile radius. Areas affected included homes off Seco Canyon Road above Copper Hill Drive.
Edison spokeswoman Ana Frutos-Sanchez said that the outage started at 9:45 a.m. and was resolved by crews switching circuits at 10:45.
