Standout Student Series: Teen Girl Creates Her Own Company

This girl is out to prove she isn’t just a pretty face.

[view:node_ad=5]It was just a few months ago when Kelsie Marie Leach was crowned Miss Teen Newhall 2008 and behind this young girl is a determination and a passion for creative design.

The teenager, who is the creator of www.kelsiemarie.com got her business idea after looking for a laptop case for herself.  After shopping for some time, Leach, a typical teenage girl, was “frustrated” at the boring laptop case designs.

This teen took matters into her own hands.  Knowing that there must be other girls out there as frustrated as she was, she launched her own company which would feature creative and fashionable laptop cases for women.  She says her hand picked colorful fabrics are covered with a clear vinyl layer for added protection.

Her custom cases are designed specifically to stay on at all times.  Each case has a stay-on feature that allows for fast open-and-go availability.  Leach says that there should rarely be a time when you need to take off the case.  “With easy access to all four sides, there's never a need to remove the laptop from its case!” her website says.

Leach has her laptop cases available in three different patterns.  To see these cases, or to buy your own, click here.
