State Route 2 In Angeles National Forest Reopened After Washout Repair

angOfficials of the Angeles National Forest have reopened a section of State Route 2 between La Canada-Flintridge and the Angeles Forest Highway which has been closed since January 17, 2010.

Rainstorms in the Station Fire burn area of the Angeles washed away several sections of the highway nearly 18 months ago and additional rains in January of 2011 washed away a section of the highway two and a half miles east of La Canada-Flintridge, delaying the opening of the road even longer.
