A suspect, driving a stolen vehicle, crashed and abandoned his car in Saugus, Monday afternoon.

The unidentified suspect crashed the vehicle into a parked car near Bouquet Canyon Road and Alaminos Drive.  He then fled the scene on foot.

Sheriff’s officers quickly set-up a containment area and the suspect was apprehended in the area near the crash.

Rosedell Elementary school was briefly on lockdown because of the activity and a sheriff’s officer was placed at the school according to Donna Smith the schools Interim Principal.  That lockdown was lifted once the suspect was caught.
