Storm Update – Day 4 – Tuesday Morning

Closures    2:41  PM 1-11 Tuesday Roads: 

Vasquez Canyon Rd., entire stretch from Bouquet to Sierra closed

North Sierra Highway from Vasquez closed to Red Rover Mine Road  possibly washed out at Vasquez, also near Halfway House Café and also near Le Chene

Davenport road is open at Agua Dulce Canyon Road but you cannot access Sierra Highway from it

Placerita Canyon closed from Sierra Hwy to Sand Canyon due to mudslides and flooding 

Agua Dulce Canyon Road is open to residents only. Lost Canyon Road closed east of Sand Canyon Road (closure is ½ mile up Lost Canyon) 

Old Road South of Calgrove and also closed between Villa Canyon and Parker Road 

San Francisquito Canyon closed at Low Ridge the road is washed out 

Calgrove Hidden Valley gate opened that connects Calgrove to Valley Road Wiley Canyon from Calgrove to Fourl closed due to slide

Bouquet Canyon closed at Vasquez Canyon , due to the road being washed out in many places 

Polynesian Park Hasley Canyon is open at Del Valle Road but to residents only, proper identification is required

Highway 126 closed at Wilcott Way and then from LA County Line to Fillmore CHP is allowing access to residents of Piru with proper ID. 

Lake Hughes road at Castaic Lake is closed Chiquita Canyon Road closed at 126  

Evacuations: As of 10am this morning the evacuation was lifted for the town of Piru. However according to Sergeant Nelson of the Fillmore police department said the streets of Piru should not be traveled due to water and mud damage.

Shelters:  The Shelter at Hart high school has now been moved to College of The Canyons.

If you need to reach someone at the shelter please do not call the school. Call the Red Cross Line at (213)739-5241. The shelter for the Piru evacuees has been set up at the Veterans Memorial Building in Fillmore, located at 511 Second Street.

You can reach the Ventura County Red Cross at (805) 339-2234. 

Schools:  Plum Canyon Elementary – OPEN TUESDAY

Bridgeport Elementary – CLOSED TUESDAY

Agua Dulce Schools Acton Schools – CLOSED TUESDAY

Antelope Valley High School District – PENDING

Lancaster High School District – PENDING

Palmdale School District – PENDING

Santa Clarita Christian – CLOSED TUESDAY
