Deputies see evidence through open drapes.
Deputies patrolling Scherzinger Lane in Canyon Country on Fridaynight detected a strong smell of marijuana coming from an emptyhouse and subsequently confiscated 20 high-quality plants.
According to Lt. Larry Gump, the deputies approaching the housecould see the type of lamps used for hydroponic growing throughopen drapes, secured the property and obtained a searchwarrant.
Gaining entry into the house, they found the plants, whichnarcotics officers estimate have a street value of $20,000each.
No arrests have been made in the case, but the investigation iscontinuing.
