COC offers unique opportunity for local kids.

The School and Business Alliance hosted an event called "Discovering Careers" at College of the Canyons Saturday morning. It was the first time the event had been held, and over 40 local businesses were on site showcasing their career fields.

Students of all ages were invited to participate, getting a glimpse into the lives of those working in a variety of occupations, including plumbing, hair styling, engineering, law enforcement, construction, management, military and more. 

Admission was free and the programs ran until 12:00 p.m. Saturday.
