Summer Fun Just A Bus Pass Away

Students can get discounts, save gas and travel safely.

 

The City of Santa Clarita’s Transit division is teaming up this summer with local businesses to offer students a Summer Bus Passport for the month of July. The Passport is a new student bus pass with benefits, and was created to allow Santa Clarita Valley students a summer experience using public transportation.

The Summer Bus Passport is a low-cost, month-long bus pass, specifically designed for Santa Clarita youth. The Passport not only provides the opportunity for a summer transportation experience, but also comes with numerous discounts and special offers for the Passport holders at businesses located throughout the community.

Students may purchase their Summer Bus Passport by showing their current student identification at either City Hall (located at 23920 Valencia Blvd., first floor cashier located in the Building and Safety Division) or the City’s Transit office (located at 28250 Constellation Road in the Commerce Center) to purchase their special July buss pass and passport sticker, which provides the discounts. The Sumer Buss Passport can be purchased for $25.

“The Summer Bus Passport will allow them to visit fun destinations throughout the community, receive discounts, all without having to worry about the high cost of gas or the need for transportation.

The local businesses that are participating in this exciting summer opportunity include Six Flags Magic Mountain, Hurricane Harbor, Color Me Mine (Valencia Town Center location), Mountasia, Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlor, Ice Station Ice Skating, Rattlesnake Slims and the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center. The discounts that are offered include money-off purchases, buy-one get-one free discounts as well as other free giveaways.

Santa Clarita Transit is a safe and reliable service that serves the entire Santa Clarita Valley. By taking advantage of this exciting Summer Bus Passport, students and their parents are opening the doors to an exciting and productively fun summer season.
