Two tape-wielding bandits broke into a Saugus
house on Sunday morning, binding up four of the residents and getting away with
cash and jewelry.
A woman called sheriff’s deputies at 8:30 a.m. to report that she had been bound with tape and
left in her room of the house on La Granja Drive
by two men, one of whom had a gun. When one of the men returned and found her
talking on the phone, the two left the premises, taking an undisclosed amount
of money and jewelry.
Lt. Brenda Cambra of the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station
said that nine people lived in the house, seven of them victimized by the two
men. Four of the victims were bound with heavy tape.
“The house appears to have many residents,” Cambra said. “Several
people were renting rooms separately.”
The suspects were described as male Hispanics; one standing
approximately 5’6” and weighing 145, the other 5’2” and weighing 135. Anyone
with information is asked to call Sgt. Blake at the Santa Clarita Station,
(661) 799-5130.
